Meet Dave

Hi there!  My name is Dave Meader and I’m going to Peru!  Check out my reasons in the Adventure page. For a little background, I’ve been a professor of business information systems at the University of Arizona, University of Dave MeaderCalifornia Berkeley, and San Jose State University.  I’m on the Board of the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (sv2).  I have two great twin boys who are starting their own adventures.  For work, I help companies figure out and execute marketing strategies that take advantage of new technologies, such as social media, natural language processing and other emerging technologies.  I live in Silicon Valley, but am a diehard University of Michigan Wolverines fan.  However, I AM happy to talk with people from Ohio.

    Thanks for letting me know about your adventures. It is a great diversion from my usual day at work. I have sent Evan your link in case he needs a break from his studies.

    Good for you on doing this and it sounds like you are getting more out of this than the kids so far.

      You know? This would be a great thing for Evan to do too, for as little as one week, but I’d recommend 2-3 weeks. Give him some valuable international experience. Inexpensive and safe. I’m going to try to get mis hijos to do it.

      And yes I DID notice your vicious insult! The kids are getting entertained, at the least. So there! :-P
